Vehicle Story
TXDORC-000001
The Landman was the first prototype developed for the 1:10 Rod Shop Custom Semi platform and served as the foundation for future production builds.
The truck was originally created to pull a custom NASCAR-style hospitality and transport trailer. The trailer interior was inspired by the rich, executive feel of the television show Landman — as if it belonged to a West Texas landman with oil money, a private lounge, and a serious need to move in style.
Finished in a clean black configuration, The Landman was intentionally understated so the full truck and trailer combination could carry the presence. The project became the proving ground for the platform’s design, production methods, and future semi development.
As Registry Entry No. TXDORC-000001, The Landman holds a permanent place in 1:10 Rod Shop history as the first vehicle entered into the TxDoRC Registry and the foundation of the shop’s semi program.
