Custom Semi Build Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all custom semi builds reserved through the 1:10 Rod Shop production queue.
By reserving a build slot, customers acknowledge that they have read and agree to the following terms.
Build Slot Reservation
The $100 reservation deposit secures a position in the 1:10 Rod Shop production queue.
Reservation deposits are non-refundable and will be applied toward the final cost of the build.
Because production is scheduled in limited batches, reservations are required to secure a place in the build schedule.
A reservation secures a production position, not a guaranteed completion date.
Build Confirmation
Approximately one week before the selected production window, 1:10 Rod Shop will contact the customer to review and confirm the build details submitted during reservation.
During this step we will confirm:
• Builder Kit or RTR configuration
• Cab and sleeper options
• Paint selections
• Optional upgrades
• Shipping details
Additional customization requests may affect final pricing.
Customers are expected to respond within 7 days during the production confirmation period. If we are unable to reach the customer within that timeframe, the build slot may be released to the next customer in the production queue.
Final Invoice & Payment
Once build details are confirmed, a final invoice will be issued including any selected upgrades and shipping costs.
Final invoices must be paid within 7 days of being issued in order to maintain the reserved build slot.
If payment is not received within that timeframe, the build slot may be released to the next customer in the queue. The reservation deposit will remain non-refundable.
Production will not begin until the final invoice has been paid in full.
Production Timeline
Estimated build time once production begins is approximately 4–6 weeks, depending on configuration and finishing requirements.
Because builds are produced in small batches and assembled by hand, timelines are estimates only and may change due to factors such as:
• material and component availability
• custom work requested
• production scheduling
• supplier delays
• equipment maintenance or unexpected shop interruptions
If a build slot becomes available earlier due to cancellations or scheduling changes, the next customer in the queue may be contacted to begin production sooner than originally planned.
Production Window Adjustments
While every effort is made to honor scheduled production windows, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally require adjustments to the build schedule.
If 1:10 Rod Shop determines that a scheduled production window cannot be reasonably honored, the customer will be contacted and offered the next available production slot.
If the customer chooses not to accept the rescheduled window, the reservation deposit will be refunded in full.
This refund option applies only when 1:10 Rod Shop is unable to reasonably fulfill the originally scheduled production window.
Custom Build Variations
Each semi is assembled by hand and built to order. Minor variations in finish, assembly, or component placement may occur and are considered part of the custom build process.
Due to supply availability, 1:10 Rod Shop reserves the right to substitute equivalent components when necessary.
Cancellations & Refunds
Reservation deposits are non-refundable.
Once a build has entered the production stage, cancellations, refunds, and in-store credits will not be accepted due to the custom, made-to-order nature of the build.
All sales are final once production has begun.
Abandoned Builds
In the rare event that a completed build cannot be delivered due to lack of customer communication, the customer will be contacted using the information provided during checkout.
If no response is received within 30 days after the build has been completed and ready for shipment, 1:10 Rod Shop reserves the right to cancel the order and retain payments made to cover labor, materials, and administrative costs.
Shipping & Returned Packages
Shipping costs will be calculated and added to the final invoice once the build configuration and delivery destination are confirmed.
Customers are responsible for providing a valid shipping address and for paying any applicable import duties, taxes, or customs fees on international shipments.
If a shipment is refused or returned due to unpaid import fees, taxes, or incorrect shipping information, the customer will be responsible for any additional shipping charges incurred to return the package to our facility or to reship the order.
Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery timing and handling are the responsibility of the carrier.
Please contact us at 1.10RodShop@gmail.com to arrange next steps if a shipment is returned.
